$1 to Haiti for every CD sold at CDBaby.com

Now is a really good time to buy some new music at CDBaby.com.

Starting on January 25th and continuing for 2 weeks, CD Baby will donate $1 toward Haitian earthquake relief for every CD and album download sold.

Here's some of my top picks on CDBaby right now, and a really awesome way to donate $10 to Haiti, and get some great music in the mix:

From CDBaby President Brian Felson:

The earthquake and its aftermath in Haiti have touched all of our lives. Many in the CD Baby family have already contributed as individuals, but we wanted to do more to help the victims of the horrible earthquake tragedy.

Starting on Monday, January 25th and continuing for two weeks, we will donate $1 of our cut from every CD sale through our website, and $1 from every download sale over $8.99 on our site, to the American Red Cross and to Mercy Corps, a Portland-based relief organization with a large presence in Haiti. With your help, we hope to raise tens of thousands of dollars.

I also urge you to make your own direct donation if you haven’t done so yet. Together, we can make a difference. Please click below to make your tax deductible donation right now.

On behalf of all CD Baby employees, I thank you for helping out during this time of great human tragedy in Haiti.

Sincerely,
Brian Felson

Emptiness

Essence is emptiness. Everything else, accidental.
Emptiness brings peace to loving. Everything else, disease.
In this world of trickery
emptiness is what your soul wants.

Ralph's

So I went to Ralph's and what did I think? Well, I'll tell ya -- I thought, "what if I got a job here?" and there was a new guy, and he showed up to bag my groceries and his buddy was working the next aisle (bag boys, man, you know what I mean) and he said, "how long you been working here" and he said "just today" and they were all happy, man. Yeah, they were so happy. To find themselves. Working. At the same Ralph's. In Valencia.

Love and Toast

I love toast. It's one of my favorite treats. Whether it's just vegan butter & jam, or sunflower seed butter & jelly, or toast dipped in hot soup, or up on the side of my salad... I love it.

What I don't love is when I forget I'm making toast, and end up with a couple of hard-ass pieces of cardboard that I'm too guilty to throw away.

Sunofabitch.

Ah, well.

Evangenitals on Facebook

Myspace, Facebook, Twitter... and remember Friendster & Tribe??

It's all still pretty confusing to me. However, I am doing my best to figure it out, streamline, strategize, and not barrage anyone with too many emails and posts and pokes and tweaks and twitters from too many directions at once.

It seems I'm spending more time on the Evangenitals Facebook FAN PAGE these days, though, so if you're NOT a member of the Evangenitals Facebook PAGE yet, I highly suggest joining that bad boy now:

Especially RIGHT NOW... cuz I'm about to send out a free mp3 belated xmas present to all of our Facebook PAGE fans.

So join now and get yer loving & yer loot!

schizophrenia

Zui-Gan called out to himself every day, "Master."

Then he answered himself, "Yes, sir."

And then he added, "Become sober."

Again he answered, "Yes, sir."

"And after that," he continued, "do not be deceived by others."

"Yes, sir; yes, sir," he replied.
